Layers of Beauty is a New Mexico-based spa providing skincare services to women. While most aestheticians' logos are pink and overtly feminine and delicate depictions of women's faces or bodies, Layers of Beauty opted for a more subtle and upscale look.
The butterfly represents transformation and innate beauty—two things the owner hopes her clients experience. Instead of the obvious pink, we used the Fitzpatrick Scale as color inspiration. The scale is used by skincare professionals to classify different skin types based on certain properties, including skin color. Because there are 6 skin types, the wings are divided into 6 segments, each a different color.
